Since January 2019 we’ve been running free workshops for migrants and refugees at the Engine Room, a lovely community centre, 5 mins from Tottenham Hale.

They have been supported by Arts Council England, Harnisch Foundation, Migrants Resource Centre and Haringey Festival of Learning.

Inspired by Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, the sessions begin with simple theatre games, followed by exercises to facilitate storytelling, improvisation, physical and vocal exploration, personal creativity and expression. Participants will be working as an ensemble to create stories together, learning how to devise short performances, how to use voice, movement and language skills to gain in confidence.

WHEN: Every Monday (excluding bank holidays) 6.30-8.30PM
WHERE: The Engine Room, Unit A, Eagle Heights, Lebus St, London N17 9FU
