The sessions have been so successful we’re now launching a second series, with an added partner, the Engine Room.
WHEN: Mondays from April 8th 2019 (excluding bank holidays) 6.30-8.30PM
WHERE: The Engine Room, Unit A, Eagle Heights, Lebus St, London N17 9FU
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
THE SESSIONS: Inspired by Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, the sessions begin with simple theatre games, followed by exercises to facilitate storytelling, improvisation, physical and vocal exploration, personal creativity and expression. Participants will be working as an ensemble to create stories together, learning how to devise short performances, how to use voice, movement and language skills to gain in confidence.
Ideally we’d like people who could commit to most sessions, but one off participants are welcome. Please always book ahead as space is limited.
